Our Stay at Grida City Hotel in Antalya, Turkey

When we planned our trip to Turkey during our annual leaves, selecting the right places to visit wasn’t easy—there were simply too many attractions to choose from. Eventually, we decided on Antalya to enjoy rafting and some of the world’s most beautiful and safest beaches. In today’s article of Turkey Nama, I’ll share our experience staying at Grida City Hotel in Antalya.

Choosing the Right Hotel

Selecting an international hotel without any prior experience can be challenging. After booking Aspen Hotel for our stay in Istanbul, we needed to finalize our second hotel for Antalya. Initially, we wanted to visit Alanya, but since there was no airport there, we chose Antalya instead. Grida City Hotel was located conveniently close to the main attractions: the world’s largest aquarium, the football stadium, a water park, Mall of Antalya, beaches, and more.

Hotel Rooms

The rooms at Grida City Hotel were spacious and came with balconies. They were equipped with LED TVs and split air-conditioners. However, there was no in-room safety box. When we inquired at the reception, they offered a safety deposit box located in their admin block, which we declined to avoid unnecessary movement inside the hotel. The washrooms were also clean and roomy.

Food & Breakfast Experience

Since we spent most of our time exploring the city, we only had breakfast at the hotel. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options: bread, buns, jam, boiled eggs, butter, cornflakes, mayonnaise, olives, tea, coffee, orange and apple juices, salads, sauces, creams, and many other items—some of which I didn’t even get to try.

Other Hotel Facilities

Due to our packed schedule, we didn’t get to explore many facilities, but here’s what we noticed. The hotel itself is quite large but has an older structure. The furniture, air conditioners, and lifts were all somewhat outdated. One thing that every traveler would expect but was missing in the rooms was a tea kettle for making tea.

There was a large swimming pool right at the hotel entrance where boys and girls were taking swimming lessons. The lobby, buffet area, and bar were all quite spacious.

Final Thoughts

Despite some areas for improvement, our stay at Grida City Hotel was a good experience overall. I would recommend it for travelers looking for a convenient and budget-friendly stay near Antalya’s main attractions.
